We quantified Fusarium ssp. and Alternaria ssp. DNA from the entire body of carabid beetles, including the body surface and the digestive tract. Beetles were collected in wheat fields, near kettle holes. The work was associated with the BioMove Project. Research domain: Ecology of Agricultural Landscapes Research question: How frequently do carabid beetles interact with phytopathogenic fungi, and does this differ between the carabid species?
