A comparative transcriptomic analysis of Phrynocephalus erythrurus and P. putjatia. Phrynocephalus

We sequenced transcriptomes of a pair of closely related toad-headed lizard, Phrynocephalus erythrurus and P. putjatia , which inhabit in low- and high-elevation habitats respectively. By comparing the two transcriptomes and other poikilothermic transcriptomes, we aim at identifying wihch function that may play an important role in poikilothermic species to adapt to the high altitude environments.
