This data set includes part of the results of the review on azooxanthellate Scleractinia from Brazil in Kitahara (2007). Museum specimens and current literature were employed for the listing. Voucher specimens are listed following mainly the official codes of Museu Oceanográfico do Vale do Itajaí (MOVI), Brazil, and National Museum of Natural History (NMNH), United States of America. Otherwise, the listing is a code out of the combined initial of authors’ surnames for the different citations or the original codes in the citation sources.
