Isolation of enrichment cultures of sulfate-reducing microorganisms and assessment of the ability of the obtained cultures to perform sulfate reduction under low pH conditions and in the presence of heavy metal ions. The enrichment cultures were obtained from a groundwater sample collected from the upper aquifer at a depth of 10 m from a well located near the surface waste storage facility of the Chepetsk Mechanical Plant (Glazov, Udmurtia, Russia).
