Archaeobotanic samples were examined from Structure 1 at site WACA 85A-92 in the
Walnut Canyon National Monument, Coconino County, Arizona. This site represents a Sinagua
two-room masonry structure. Floor fill was examined for pollen, while fill from the central hearth
was floated to recover macrofloral remains. Corn from the central hearth also was submitted for
identification verification. Pollen and macrofloral analyses will be used to provide subsistence
information concerning plant resources utilized by the site occupants.
