Breakdown of the production of primary renewable energy in France 2023

Wood energy accounted for the largest share of primary renewable energy produced at over 30 percent. Hydropower was the second main source of renewable energy at some 15 percent of the total. The primary energy production from renewables resources in France stood at 365 terawatt-hours in 2023.
