Draft Genome Sequence and Annotation of Escherichia coli O26:H11 Caused an Outbreak of Haemolytic Uraemic Syndrome and Bloody Diarrhoea. Escherichia coli O26H11 21765

we report the genome of a shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) O26:H11 strain 21765 isolated in a raw milk cheese and linked to a STEC human infection. It is the first outbreak of STEC non-O157 linked to consumption of unpasteurized cows’ cheese in France.
