Early 19th century headstone dating from 1825 located in the northwest corner of the chancel of the medieval church ruins (TN009-003001-) at Kilbarron, County Tipperary, standing on the northern side of the chancel at the western end immediately inside the chancel arch. The top half of the headstone of the Costello family of Ballinderry, County Tipperary is decorated with symbols of the Passion of Christ also known as the Arma Christi. The symbols visible on this headstone include the sun-face, pincers, nails, rooster or cockerel within a circular-shaped floral wreath, 2 urns or Ciborium's, 2 flowering potted plants, ascending dove beneath the I H S monogram, moon-face in profile, floriated cross, hammer and nails. The inscription is framed within a floral border running around the edge of the headstone.
