Quantifying the State of the Art of Electric Powertrains in Battery Electric Vehicles: Comprehensive Analysis of the Two-speed Transmission and 800 V Technology of the Porsche Taycan

This datasets contains 630 MB of measurement data recorded while performing extensive experiments using a Porsche Taycan Performance Battery Plus from 2022. The dataset includes (2) vehicle coastdown measurements on different chassis level, (3) measurmenets of the efficiency of the power unit in both gears and the gear shift strategy on a dynamometer, (4) measurements of the eletric range for various official and real-driving test cycles, cycle tests to compare diving modes and chassis levels, climate chamber tests to investigate vehicle's warm-up behaivor and constant velocity energy consumption at three temperature levels, (5) measurements of the two-speed transmission and the 800V battery system in discharge and charge direction.
