PCB-contaminated soil samples were collected from an e-waste-dismantling region in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, China, which has been engaged in e-waste recycling for over 40 years. The samples were taken at different depths: from 5 to15 cm, from 20 to 30 cm, and from 80 to 100 cm, representing aerobic soil (AS), facultative anaerobic soil (FAS), and anaerobic soil (ANS), respectively. A control soil sample (from 5 to 15 cm) without PCB contamination (CK) was obtained from a mangrove forest in Beihai, Guangxi province, China.
