This repository provides an open experimental dataset containing wind tunnel measurements of inflow conditions generated for four atmospheric boundary layers (ABLs). The dataset includes four NetCDF files, each corresponding to a distinct boundary layer produced in the wind tunnel test section. Boundary layers represented The inflow conditions represent increasing terrain roughness and turbulence intensity: Low-TI — low turbulence (1-2%) Mod-TI — medium turbulence (6%)/ offshore-like inflow High-TI — high turbulence (12-13%) / onshore-like inflow Extreme-TI — very high turbulence (>20%) / urban-like inflow Measurement systems Two complementary measurement techniques were used: Lidar measurements Average wind speed measurements Characterisation of inflow heterogeneity Hot-wire measurements High-frequency velocity fluctuations Turbulence intensity and spectral content Applications The dataset supports: wind turbine and wind farm experiments turbulence characterisation inflow modelling and scaling studies validation of LES and engineering models benchmarking of wind tunnel ABL generation
