VeReMi

The Vehicle Reference Misbehavior (VeReMi) dataset is a benchmark dataset for evaluating misbehavior detection mechanisms in Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs). It consists of message logs from On-Board Units (OBUs), with labeled ground truth generated from a simulated environment. This dataset includes malicious messages designed to trigger incorrect application behaviors, which are exactly the types of issues that misbehavior detection mechanisms aim to prevent. The initial dataset contains a variety of simple attacks. The rationale behind publishing this dataset is not only to provide a baseline for comparing misbehavior detection mechanisms, but also to serve as a starting point for exploring more complex attacks.
