REVUB model input for the paper "Variable renewables fortify Ecuador's power system against recurrences of drought-driven energy crises"

This dataset contains REVUB simulation input files, including data references, for the paper "Variable renewables fortify Ecuador’s power system against recurrences of drought-driven energy crises" by Sterl et al. The files can be directly used to run REVUB simulations. Potential users are recommended to consult the REVUB repository and manual available via https://github.com/VUB-HYDR/REVUB. Sources used for each data point or time series are provided in the file "parameters_simulation.xlsx" in comments in the relevant cells, and their full details are given on the worksheet "DataSources". When numbers in a given column have no comment providing a reference, this should be interpreted as "Ibid." referring to the data in earlier columns in the same row. Note: This updated version contains a slightly adapted control file reflecting small updates to the REVUB interface and code in the meantime, but no changes in data.
