To investigate the bacterial functions involved in seed contamination during their formation, we sequenced bacterial mRNA at 24, 35 and 42 days after pollination (DAP). Gene expression was compared between the different stages. Overall design: Bean plants were inoculated at pre-flowering stage. Three samples (one sample corresponding to the seeds of three plants) were harvested at each sampling date. Two independant experiments were performed. Bacterial mRNA were sequenced using SureSelectXT RNA Direct technology (Agilent), based on the capture of bacterial sequences with oligonucleotidic probes.
