This dataset contains genome-wide single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotype matrices for two major North American spruce species: black spruce (Picea mariana) and white spruce (Picea glauca). Individuals were sampled from populations across Quebec, Canada. The black spruce dataset includes 908 individuals genotyped at 16,308 SNP markers, and the white spruce dataset includes 988 individuals genotyped at 11,328 SNP markers. Data are provided in CSV format. These data were used to evaluate minimum marker densities required for accurate genomic predictions and heritability estimates, as described in the associated publication: Minimum marker densities for accurate genomic predictions and heritability estimates in three major North American and European spruce species.
