Freight Centers

A freight center is an area identified by DVRPC as having a concentration of facilities that generate significant amounts of freight as well as employment in related sectors. Each center is assigned one of five descriptive typologies based on their physical form and the types of businesses located there. The typologies are: Distribution and Logistics, Heavy Industrial, High Tech Manufacturing, International Gateway, and Local Manufacturing and Distribution.
