资源简介:
Stylus Profilometry, 3D Microscopy, and Scanning White-Light Interferometry measurements were taken on an Inconel 625 sample created with binder-jet printing, not sintered.
Here are the print parameters:
Powder preparation: nitrogen gas atomization
Particle distribution: 16 – 63 microns
Mean particle size: 20 – 25 microns
Layer thickness: 100 microns
Nozzle spacing: 64 nozzles in parallel with the print head
Sample Orientation: the build direction is in the positive z direction, the print bed movement is on the x-axis, and the roller direction is on the y-axis.
The surface measured on this sample is the positive y-face of orientation
Surface Topography data for this surface was collected on a stylus profilometer (Alfastep IQ, KLA-Tencor, Milpitas, CA). A 3D digital microscope (VR-3200 Keyence, Itasca, Illinois) was also used for 3D microscopy (via fringe projection). Scanning white-light interferometry (Contour GT-I, Bruker, Billerica Massachusetts) was also performed.
The data is associated with the following publication:
Brown, C., Nescio, M., Chadha, V., Zheng, C., Abelev, E., Chmielus, M., and Jacobs, T.D.B. The Difficulty of Measuring Surface Topography in Additive Manufacturing: A Comparison Between Measured and True Surface Features of Binder-Jet Printed Samples. ASME Journal of Tribology (2025).
