Supplement data to the publication entitled "Impact of cow-calf contact during the first week and following separation on cows' activity behavior, feed related parameters, milk yield and composition".

Part of the supplemental information includes Supplemental Tables 1 and 2. Supplemental Table 1 presents the estimated mean energy demand for activity in cows with and without cow-calf contact during the first 10 days after calving. The calculations were based on literature data and are descirbed in the table caption. Supplemental Table 2 presents the estimated milk intake during the suckling period of cow-reared calves. The estimation equation was based on data from conventionally reared calves with known milk intake.
