资源简介:
Background. Postoperative pulmonary thromboembolism is a potentially fatal complication caused by the migration of thrombotic material into the pulmonary arterial circulation. Despite advances in perioperative care and thromboprophylaxis, pulmonary embolism remains an important cause of sudden deterioration and mortality after surgery. Its early diagnosis is difficult because the initial clinical signs are frequently nonspecific and may resemble other postoperative respiratory or cardiovascular complications.
