资源简介:
This data set contains a list of 273 samples collected during the 1998-99 and
2000-2001 Italian Antarctic Expeditions in several non-marine environments of
Victoria Land. In particular mosses, soils, benthic algal mats and snow samples
were collected in order to study their microalgal content. Following the
Ecophysiology and Ecotoxicology research line of the PNRA, microalgae were
isolated on different culture media (BBM, BG11) from some samples in order to
obtain monospecific massive cultures. Those cultures were exposed to an UV-B
lamp source at different times of exposition in order to determine changes in
several molecules of photosynthetic apparatus and cell membranes after UV-B
exposition. Using HPLC and spectrophotometer the algal content in Chlorophyll,
carotenoids, N-tocopherol, phospholipids were determined before and after UV-B
expositions.
