Supplement to "Extending the Atmospheric Radiative Transfer Simulator (ARTS) to Shortwave Radiation"

This dataset contains the python scripts and the data that were used for the article "Extending the Atmospheric Radiative Transfer Simulator (ARTS) to Shortwave Radiation". Extending_ARTS_to_SW_scripts-paper.zip: Contains the python scripts. Since they were used in a special environment. The paths and filenames may need to be adjusted when running them. field_latiidx0xx.zip: Chunks of atmospheric and surface data from combined ICON and ECMWF model data that is used for simulating the satellite images. Each zip file contains 36 chunks of 10º lat x 10º lon with atmospheric and surface data at 5 km horizontal grid spacing in ARTS xml format. CAUTION! The files are heavily compressed up to factor 8 to 9. coarse_test_20.zip: Atmospheric and surface data from combined ICON and ECMWF model data that is used for simulating the fluxes. Basically, it is the same data as in field_latiidx0xx.zip but only @ 1º horizontal grid spacing. ModisReflectance.zip: Surface reflectance data @ 0.05º horizontal grid spacing from MODIS observation for Vis/NIR (MODIS Band 1-7). For further information, see article.
