This dataset provides a comprehensive panel data resource on technological adoption, sustainability practices, and coffee productivity in Vietnam, supporting the study: “Technological Adoption, Sustainability, and Coffee Productivity in Vietnam: Evidence from Panel Data” .The dataset is based on a balanced panel of 1,200 coffee farms located in the Central Highlands of Vietnam, including Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Lam Dong, and Dak Nong provinces, covering the period from 2010 to 2023. It integrates farm-level production data, technology adoption indicators, sustainability practices, and environmental variables, enabling robust econometric analysis of productivity and quality dynamics.Key components of the dataset include:- Farm-level panel data: A longitudinal dataset (≈16,800 observations) containing detailed information on coffee yield (tons/ha), quality (cupping scores), input use (water and fertilizer), farm characteristics (farm size, farmer experience), and institutional variables (access to extension services).- Technology adoption data: A composite technology index constructed using principal component analysis (PCA), based on multiple indicators including improved varieties, irrigation systems, mechanization, and digital tools.- Sustainability indicators: A binary variable capturing certification status and agroecological practices, enabling assessment of sustainability-driven quality improvements.- Environmental data: Province-level climate variables, including annual rainfall and temperature, allowing integration of climatic factors into productivity analysis.- Econometric outputs: Pre-computed descriptive statistics, correlation matrices, and regression results consistent with panel data models (fixed effects and random effects), facilitating reproducibility and validation.- Reproducibility resources: Scripts in R and Stata format for replicating panel regression models and statistical analyses.The dataset reveals substantial heterogeneity across farms in both productivity and technology adoption. Empirical patterns indicate that technological adoption is strongly associated with increased coffee yield, while sustainability practices play a more significant role in improving coffee quality.
