Replication package for: Electrification of Road Freight Transport in Colombia: Energy Demand, Service Costs, and Economic Impacts

This repository contains the replication package for the article “Electrification of Road Freight Transport in Colombia: Energy Demand, Service Costs, and Economic Impacts”. The package contains the GAMS implementation of a recursive dynamic Computable General Equilibrium model of the Colombian economy calibrated to 2023, the input data required to reproduce the benchmark and the 2024–2034 projections, and the post-processing routines used to calculate equivalent variation by household group. Three electrification scenarios are provided: Business-as-Usual (BAU), Just Energy Transition (JET), and an intensified electrification scenario. The road freight transport activity is identified internally in the GAMS code as TRAC and its corresponding service as SVTC. The repository includes the calibrated model inputs, scenario projection data, the 2023 Social Accounting Matrix used as source documentation, a codebook, and a README with detailed execution instructions. The model was validated using GAMS Rev 143 through GAMS IDE 2.0.31.8 and the CONOPT solver.
