Urinary excretion of sodium, potassium, creatinine and protein from humans in 24 hour daylight

Little is known concerning renal handling of electrolytes sodium and potassium at extremes of temperature at sea level in conditions of 24 hour daylight in normal subjects. The 9 hour and 24 hour urinary sodium, potassium, creatinine and protein excretion in the four members of an Antarctic field party were measured with baseline collections prior to the departure from New Zealand and at least twice weekly collections during the five to six week period in Antarctica.
