C-band Weather Radar (MR18-05C)

Low level clouds over the Arctic Ocean which usually dominate during early winter have a key role for sea/ice surface heat budget. To capture the broad cloud-precipitation systems and their temporal and spatial evolution over the Arctic Ocean, three-dimensional radar echo structure and wind fields of rain/snow clouds were obtained by C-band Doppler radar observation.通常在初冬主导北冰洋上空的低层云，对海/冰表面热收支具有关键作用。为捕捉北冰洋上空大范围云-降水系统及其时空演变特征，本研究通过C波段多普勒雷达（C-band Doppler radar）观测，获取了雨雪云的三维雷达回波结构与风场数据。
