Gut microbiota interplay with innate immune system to regulate inflammation and cancer

Microbiota and innate immune signaling interplay with each other, and contribute importantly to the development of inflammation-related cancers. We observed that the regulation of innate immune signaling gives rise to the alteration on gut microbiota, which had critical feedback on immune responses and cytokine production. The cooperation of microbiota and innate immune system regulates the suppressive components in adaptive immune system, and inhibit the development of inflammation-related diseases, including cancer.
