Lettuce EST project. Lactuca sativa

The Compositae genome project at the University of California, Davis, has been initiated to develop genetic resources for sunflower and lettuce. As a result large numbers of ESTs from two cultivars of lettuce, serriola and salinas, have been generated and are being analysed. Data is available from CGPDB web site. The project is funded by USDA.
