METHODS AND TOOLS FOR CREATIVE ASSESSMENT IN PRACTICE

Assessment is a fundamental component of the teaching and learning process, traditionally focused on measuring learners’ knowledge through standardized tests and examinations. However, such conventional assessment methods often fail to capture learners’ creativity, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving skills. In response, creative assessment has emerged as an innovative approach that emphasizes learner-centered, formative, and authentic evaluation practices. This article examines modern methods and tools for creative assessment in educational practice using the IMRAD structure. Through a qualitative review of pedagogical literature and classroom practices, the study analyzes various creative assessment methods, including project-based assessment, portfolios, self- and peer-assessment, and technology-assisted tools. The results indicate that creative assessment enhances learner motivation, autonomy, and higher-order thinking skills. The discussion highlights the pedagogical implications and challenges of implementing creative assessment in diverse educational contexts.
