VPRS 14747 Other Photographs

This is an artificially created series of photographs stored in envelopes. The P1 consignment of the series is controlled by a numbering system with an annual suffix. The envelopes are numbered and describe the subject of the contents. These are obviously just a few surviving examples of a much larger series of photographs.The P2 consignment contains photographs filed under subject headings.These records were the responsibility of the Publications and Information section. The aim of that section was to promote soil conservation and the Authority. The use of photography assisted in that purpose. Specifically, the section was required to develop and maintain a photographic record of activities including field days, structures, types of soil erosion and soil conservation activities of all kinds.
