This study aims to establish a foundation for the precise prevention and treatment of GD by identifying potential therapeutic targets among plasma proteins. Initially, to systematically screen for proteins related to GD, we utilized protein data from the Fenland study and summary data from the GWAS of GD and autoimmune hyperthyroidism, as released in Version R10 of the FinnGen database. We conducted a two-sample MR analysis to assess the causal effects of plasma proteins on GD.
