The present invention relates to a polypropylene composite material and a preparation method therefor， and belongs to the polymer material modification field. The polypropylene composite material of the present invention comprises， in parts by weight， 57.8-79.35 parts of a polypropylene， 0.25-1.0 part of a fiber hair， and 20-40 parts of a toughening agent. In the present invention， the toughening agent is added in a large amount such that the column prepared from the polypropylene composite material of the present invention can meet the requirement for low temperature blasting at -35℃ and thus meet security performance. In addition， no filler is added in the polypropylene composite material of the present invention， and the density of the polypropylene composite material can be controlled below 0.91g/cm 3， and thus low density and light weight in a real sense may be achieved.
