A price survey conducted at supermarkets in Utsunomiya City revealed that the average price of 1 kg of strawberries in May 2024 was 1,668 yen. This is 350 yen cheaper than the national average of 2,018 yen. During the period from January 2015 to May 2024 (a span of 59 months), the highest price for strawberries at supermarkets in Utsunomiya City was recorded in December 2023 at 2,875 yen, while the lowest price was in May 2015 at 1,388 yen. The price difference between the peak and lowest price periods for strawberries in the Utsunomiya area is 350 yen.
