资源简介:
In 1802 the ship Investigator was considered no longer seaworthy, and was used as a storeship in Port Jackson until it was returned to England in 1805. The receipts, of which there are but three, were made out for stores taken from the "Investigator" for use of the colonial service. Each receipt covers stores issued during a quarterly period, lists the articles used, and is signed by the person taking delivery of the stores and countersigned by Governor King. The receipts were then probably kept by the Commissary, who had control over the "Investigator" stores. The receipts are bound in a volume with series 2. The following is a list of the receipts. Receipt for carpenters' and boatswains' stores issued for the use of the Government between 1 January and 31 March 1804. Receipt for various stores issued for the use of the Dock Yard between 1 April and 30 June 1804. Receipt for iron shackles and bolts issued for the use of the "Public Work" between 1 October and 31 December 1804. (ML D88 part). 1 vol (part). Note:This description is extracted from Concise Guide to the State Archives of New South Wales, 3rd Edition 2000.
