Hollywood 1990s Shot Data: Visual Parameters

The data was collected for analyzing cinematic trends. The dataset includes 298 Hollywood films from the 1990s. Metadata for the films was gathered from imdb.com. The dataset is available in .db format (an SQL database) and as separate CSV tables. For all included films, detailed metadata has been collected, including release year, genre, crew members, and other characteristics. For each film, data on editing transitions and shot durations was gathered, along with frame-level features: the number of faces and the screen area occupied by a face, compositional complexity, and frame mean brightness.
