Bracoviruses can integrate into the host genome via host integrated motif (HIM), as in the cases of Microplitis demolitor bracovirus (MdBV) (Beck et al., 2011) and Cotesia congregata bracovirus (CcBV) (Chevignon et al., 2018). To determine the viral integrated sequence in host genome, we sequenced the natural parasitized <i>S. litura</i> hemocytes and MbBV-infected Spli221 cells, to obtain the bracovirus-integrated <i>S. litura</i> genome and compared genome of MbBV with that of MdBV and CcBV to identify the HIM of MbBV.
