Die SWAP-200 ist ein Q-Sort-Test, der die beständigen Muster der Persönlichkeit, des intrapsychischen und zwischenmenschlichen Funktionierens in Gesundheit und Pathologie beschreibt. In die SWAP-200 flossen trieb-, objektbeziehungstheoretisch und ich-psychologisch fundierte psychoanalytische Erkenntnisse und aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse zu Affektregulation, Charakterpathologie, Beziehungsqualität, kognitiven Funktionen sowie zu psychischer Gesundheit ein. Das SWAP-200-Profil eines einzelnen Patienten kann in der Auswertung einerseits mit den DSM-IV-Kriterien der Achse II korreliert werden, andererseits mit empirisch festgelegten Prototypen. Somit ergibt sich als Endresultat eine kategoriale und dimensionale Diagnose der Persönlichkeit. Die SWAP-200 umfasst ein Set von 200 Aussagen. Reliabilität: Es liegen keine Angaben vor. Validität: Die hohe Korrelation zwischen Prototyp und einer jeweiligen Persönlichkeitsstörung belegt die Konvergenzvalidität. Die niedrigen Korrelationen zwischen Prototyp und den unterschiedlichen Persönlichkeitsstörungen sprechen für eine hohe diskriminative Validität. Zudem konnten inhaltlich identische Itemgruppierungen durch konfirmatorisch-faktorenanalytisches Vorgehen und auch dieselbe übergeordnete drei- bzw. vier-faktorielle Struktur repliziert werden, womit eine ausreichend gute Kriteriums- und Konstruktvalidität berichtet wird. The SWAP-200 profile of an individual patient can be correlated in the evaluation on the one hand with the DSM-IV criteria of Axis II and on the other hand with empirically established prototypes.
