Genome sequencing of clones of Cryptococcus AD hybrids following experimental passaging

In this project, we passaged hybrid Cryptococcus AD genotypes in diverse environments to identify mutations and loss of heterozygosity. Strains were passaged for 100 days in liquid media or for 10 passages through Galleria mellonella infection. Single clones were isolated from the evolved populations for genome sequencing. The data allowed us to identify the mechanisms by which the clones underwent loss of heterozygosity and to identify factors controlling its extent and location.
