This dataset contains the genomic and metagenomic data supporting the study "The influence of sheep genome on reproductive microbiota". The research investigates how host genetic variation shapes the vaginal microbiota in sheep and its implications for fertility. 1. Microbiota Sequencing Data (16S rRNA) The dataset includes sequencing data from vaginal microbiota samples collected from 243 ewes belonging to three Spanish breeds. Platform: Illumina MiSeq. Target: 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing. Content: The compressed file contains the raw sequencesused to profile microbial communities and identify associations with the host genome. 2. Host Genotype Data (SNP Chip) Host genotypes were obtained using the Illumina high-density 606K SNP chip.
