This research paper presents a comprehensive analysis of modern cyber threats affecting satellite missions and explores the development of secure communication systems for space-based operations. The study examines major cybersecurity challenges, including cyberattacks on satellite communication networks, signal interception, data breaches, jamming, spoofing, and unauthorized access. It also discusses advanced security mechanisms such as encryption, authentication protocols, secure key management, artificial intelligence–based threat detection, blockchain-enabled security frameworks, and quantum-resistant cryptography.
