The US Government UFO Files (war.gov/ufo), analyzed

Every record the US Department of War has released on war.gov/ufo: documents, photographs, videos and audio about unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), as one table (CSV and JSON). Each record has its agency, incident date and place, release date, page count, redaction status, the official file, an Internet Archive copy, and a plain-English summary and story page from ALIENS magazine. Version release-07-20261023: 479 records from 7 releases (8 May 2026 to 23 Oct 2026); 280 of them redacted; 479 with an English summary. The official fields are copied from war.gov's record list as it lists them (US short dates turned into ISO dates). The summaries and stories are written with AI from war.gov's description of each record and, for documents, the PDF text; an editing pass corrects each draft against that source material and a second model reviews it; English texts are AI translations of the Hebrew. No person reviews every record line by line: check a summary against its source_url before relying on it. Fields and full method: README.md.
