Salinity front at the Yangtze River estuary

The salinity field at the Yangtze River estuary in 2017 is simulated using the high-resolution Finite-Volume Community Ocean Model. The salinity gradient is calculated based on the model results. The hourly instantaneous salinity gradient for both the dry (January) and wet (July) seasons in 2017 were shown in the animations.
