Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a critical global health threat, exacerbated by the widespread use of antimicrobials like chlorhexidine digluconate (CHX). This study explores the genomic and transcriptomic mechanisms of CHX adaptation in three clinical isolates and their adapted counterparts of Streptococcus spp. using whole genome sequencing (WGS) and transcriptomic profiling.
