Research data supporting "A Material Passport Ontology for a Circular Economy"

Automotive data collected from industry partners of the JIDEP Horizon Europe project (Grant Agreement No. 101058732) were analysed to develop the Material Passport Ontology (MPO), which is included in this dataset as the machine-readable file MPO.owl, comprising classes, object properties, and datatype properties. The ontology documentation was generated using the Live OWL Documentation Environment (LODE) tool and is provided in the MPO_specification.zip file. As the original automotive data contain confidential information protected under a non-disclosure agreement, they cannot be publicly shared. Therefore, a synthetic dataset representing a chassis crossbeam material passport was created in consultation with industrial partners. This dataset is instantiated using the MPO ontology and represented as a Knowledge Graph (KG), provided in the data folder of kgvalidator-main.zip as MatPassportChassisCrossbeamKnowledgeGraph.owl. In addition to the dataset, kgvalidator-main.zip includes code for validating Knowledge Graphs. The Shapes Constraint Language (SHACL) constraints defined to validate Knowledge Graphs are provided in the SHACL-constraints.zip file.
