Benthic community composition data from Izembek lagoon, 2018-2021

Data was collected in Izembek lagoon in 2018-2021 using a sediment grab to characterize contemporary benthic community composition in the lagoon. Sampling stations included replicates of stations sampled in 1998, and additional randomly selected sites in the lagoon. The samples were sorted and benthic organisms were identified to characterize potential prey items of Steller's eiders molting in the lagoon waters. Variables include station identification, sampling year, sampling season, sampling location coordinates, sample weight, number of organisms identified, and weight of organisms identified.
