资源简介:
Investigating sponge microbial symbionts is an important part of marine microbial ecology due to the ecological and biotechnological value of these dense and diverse microbial communities. Sponge-associated bacteria are involved in nutritional exchange with their hosts and are considered to play important roles in benthic biogeochemical cycling, and producing most of the secondary metabolite repertoire of sponges. Therefore, our understanding of the contribution of cultivable sponge-associated bacteria can provide better prespectives through this subject. This is a reason why we here describe 14 isolated bacteria genomes retrieved from Spongia sp., an iconic sponge species using 1/10R2A and VXA media.
