Organic acid content is a key factor affecting fruit quality. The acid-free pomelo (WS) is a naturally mutated low-citric-acid variety. Using the moderate-citric-acid variety Gao Ban pomelo (GB) as a reference, we conducted organic acid content measurements between the two varieties and performed transcriptome sequencing analysis on fruit samples from seven distinct developmental stages of both cultivars.
