We characterize histone H2A.Z binding and RNA expression in the hippocampus of young (2.5 months) and aged (15.5 months) mice in response to contextual fear conditioning. We use ChIP to characterize H2A.Z binding under basal and learning-induced conditions in the hippocampus of young and aged mice. H2A.Z binding is compared to gene-expression levels in response to learning.
