The study evaluates the social outcomes of adults with unresolved epilepsy who experienced seizure onset in childhood or adolescence. A standardized questionnaire was administered to 96 patients aged 21 or older, covering aspects such as social prognosis, comorbidities, epilepsy characteristics, school difficulties, and family structure. Findings indicate that adults with childhood-onset epilepsy face significant social challenges, including lower education levels, higher unemployment rates, financial dependence, and lower marriage rates. Intellectual disability was associated with more severe social impairments. The study emphasizes the need for targeted interventions to enhance social integration and support for these individuals.
