Historical Marine Water Quality Data

The EPD has a comprehensive marine water quality monitoring programme in Hong Kong since 1986, which covers 94 water sampling stations in the open sea, semi-enclosed bays and typhoon shelters.

A range of physical parameters, including temperature, pH, salinity, turbidity and dissolved oxygen, are measured in situ. In addition, the water samples are collected for laboratory analyses of some 20 parameters such as nutrients, organic constituents and microbiological contents.

You can retrieve marine water quality data since 1986 through the hyperlink embedded to every marine water monitoring station, under the selected water control zone.

香港环境保护署（Environmental Protection Department，简称EPD）自1986年起在香港推行全面的海水水质监测计划，该计划覆盖公海、半封闭海湾及避风塘内的94个水质采样站点。
现场测定温度、pH值、盐度（salinity）、浊度（turbidity）及溶解氧（dissolved oxygen）等多项物理参数；此外，项目组还会采集水样，用于实验室分析营养盐、有机组分（organic constituents）及微生物含量（microbiological contents）等约20项监测指标。
用户可在选定的水质管控区内，通过各海水监测站点内嵌的超链接，检索1986年至今的海水水质数据。
