Expression data from lesional (LP) and non-lesional (NP) skin in patients with psoriasis.

We used microarry to charactarize differences in gene expression between lesional and non-lesional psoriasis skin. Our hypothethis was that IL-37 is downregulated in psoriasis. Nine adult patients with psoriasis vulgaris were included. Excisional biopsies (2.5 cm x 1 cm) from non-involved (NP) and involved tissue (LP) were obtained using a local anesthetic containing 1% Lidocaine. Subcutis was removed and biopsies were snap frozen in liquid nitrogen and used for RNA isolation.
